The 41st Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at United Kingdom

The 41st Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at United Kingdom ended yesterday pointing the way of world peace. The three convention started on July 27, 2007 at " Hadiqatul Mahdi" (Garden of Mahdi), Alton, Hampshire, 208 acres of land purchased by Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK. Despite of heavy rainfall and bad weather: 29,898 (Twenty nine thousand eight hundred and ninety eight) participants attended the convention from different countries of the world. The Supreme Head of Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad inaugurated the convention. Scholars from different parts of the world delivered enlightening lectures during the three day convention. Like previous years dignitaries including ministers of some West African countries, Members of Parliament of UK and other countries (including Lord Avbarry - a very senior member of British House of Lords), representatives of different faiths, diplomats including US Ambassador to UK, attended the convention and delivered goodwill speeches highlighting the contributions of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at (AMJ) towards establishing world peace and inter-faith harmony and their services to humanity.

On the second day's morning session : Maolana Abdul Awwal Khan Chowdhury, Missionary In-charge of AMJ Bangladesh delivered his lecture on Progress and Contributions of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at in Bangladesh. In his speech he expressed his profound gratitude to Civil Society, Press and electronic Media of Bangladesh, national and international HR organizations, diplomatic missions and general people of Bangladesh for their strong stand and invaluable contributions towards defending the human rights and religious freedom.

Muslim Television Ahmadiyya International (MTA) broadcast the Jalsa proceedings, interviews of dignitaries and other high-lights which have been watched by millions of people around the globe.
